AERIAL WEED CONTROL OPERATIONS – MOUNT LOFTY RANGES

Aerial weed control operations will be carried out over Mount Crawford Forest from Monday 25 October 2021, before beginning at Kuitpo and Second Valley.

The operation will take about three weeks and will be carried out by experienced helicopter pilots, as weather permits.

For safety reasons, visitors must keep clear of active forest worksites, which will be identifiable by signage. It is also critical you comply with instructions from ForestrySA staff patrolling the area and locate to an alternate forest location if requested.

ForestrySA’s Mount Lofty Ranges plantation forests are busy places, enjoyed by almost 500,000 people annually for camping, bushwalking, bike riding, community events and more.

To keep our young trees in tip-top health and growing to their full potential, our crews carry out a number of operations during the year.
