RESIDUE BURNING, MOUNT CRAWFORD FOREST

ForestrySA will conduct residue burn operations within the Mount Crawford Forest Reserve from Thursday 28 July, weather permitting.

MOUNT CRAWFORD FOREST

🔥 Murray’s forest location, near Williamstown
Smoke maybe visible from the Blockers, Wirra Wirra and Springton Roads

Burning is undertaken in commercial forest to manage harvest debris and facilitate site cultivation for the next crop. Proactive management of forest fuel loads significantly mitigates bushfire risk, reducing the threat to surrounding communities and assets.

Smoke may be visible from in and around the area while the burn is in progress, and for several days afterwards.

For your own safety please abide by specific site closures and remain clear while operations are progress.
