Fees and permits

Recreational fee structure – 1 June 2020

ForestrySA is committed to supporting and facilitating nature-based activities and events in our forest reserves, which contribute positively to the health and well-being of local people, businesses, communities and the economy.

Each year, ForestrySA dedicates significant time to process application requests and to maintain and enhance the extensive trail network and facilities available within forest reserves.

A recent review of our recreational fee structure indicated an opportunity to better reflect costs associated with administration, on-ground support and facility maintenance.

For the first time in 20 years, fees have been increased, noting they remain reasonable and cost-effective.

Activity and event organisers should consider our new fee structure as part of future activity and event planning, particularly as COVID-19 restrictions ease.

We look forward to working with event organisers on successful nature-based activities and events in ForestrySA forest reserves.

The new fee structure is available to view and download, via the button below.

If you have any questions about the new fees or are organising an activity or event, please contact our team via email, or call the Kuitpo Head Office on 8391 8800.
