For public safety, temporary forest closures will be in place across parts of the Mt Crawford Forest during a coordinated aerial operation from Sunday ๐ญ๐ฐ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ป๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ.
Operations will occur across ForestrySA land and surrounding areas, including:
โข Mt Gawler, Devils Gully and Old Kersbrook (15โ19 June)
โข Central Mt Crawford and Pewsey Vale (22โ26 June)
โ ๏ธ No shooting will occur on weekends
What this means for visitors:
โข All campgrounds, trails and recreation areas within the closure zones will be closed
โข No public access or recreation events permitted
โข Areas will be signed and patrolled throughout the operation

โข Chalks Campground โ closed for the full duration Sunday ๐ญ๐ฐ ๐๐ผ ๐๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐ ๐ฎ๐ฒ ๐๐๐ป๐ฒ ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฒ.
โข Rocky Paddock โ closed from 12pm Monday 15 June to Friday 26 June 2026
Please do not enter closed areas and follow all signage and directions from staff during this time.
