Accommodation and camping season opens 1 April 2021, with online bookings available from 9am, Monday 1 March 2021.
ForestrySA offers bush camping and stays at Kuitpo and Mount Crawford in designated campgrounds and accommodation venues only.
Please note – a maximum of 10 people per campsite. Not all campsites are suitable for caravans or camper trailers and may be limited to less than three vehicles. Please consider this when selecting your campsite.
The forest is closed to the public on days of Total Fire Ban. Please check the CFS website before your visit, for current fire bans and ratings.

ForestrySA manages a range of private hut, cottage and camp shelter accommodation venues within its Mount Lofty Ranges forests.
All sites are available for overnight stays during the annual camping season. Bookings must be made online. Please scroll down to view our accommodations options, check availability and secure your stay.
All venues are located within the picturesque bush setting of the Kuitpo and Mount Crawford Forest Reserves – the ideal spot to soak up the great outdoors.
All venues are available to book from 1 April – 30 November, outside of the fire danger season.
Wood fires are permitted from 1 May – 31 October annually. (These dates may change in seasons where high fire danger persists).
Planning a group activity at one of our sites?
A wide variety of community and private events are held at our Mount Lofty Ranges and Green Triangle recreation sites each year.
If you are planning a group activity such as orienteering, a school or Scout camp, group walk or bike ride, you must submit an event application and map of planned forest routes.
All applications must be submitted at least four weeks prior to the proposed event or activity and will be reviewed by a forest Ranger for approval on a case-by-case basis.
The forest is closed to the public on declared Total Fire Ban days. To report a fire, call 000.
Fire is prohibited on ForestrySA land and Forest Reserves between November 1 and April 30 in any year. (These dates may be extended in areas where high fire danger persists).
