Fire Danger Season extended to 12 May 2019 – no fires allowed
Pursuant to the Fire and Emergency Services Act 2005, the Country Fire Service has extended the 2019 Fire Danger Season in the Mount Lofty Ranges. The season will now come to a close at midnight on Sunday 12 May 2019. Campers preparing to stay at designated sites within the Kuitpo and Mount Crawford Forests Reserves are advised that fires are prohibited until after this date. Gas appliances are permitted during the extension period.

The forest is closed to the public on declared Total Fire Ban days. To report a fire, call 000.
Fire is prohibited on ForestrySA land and Forest Reserves between November 1 and April 30 in any year. (These dates may be extended in areas where high fire danger persists).
