We are committed to the future of Fox Creek Bike Park

1 July 2022 | Community forestry news

ForestrySA is committed to the future of Fox Creek Bike Park and to the community, clubs and local businesses who make it the awesome place it is.

We are happy to advise that our planned fire recovery program, which commenced in January 2020, has progressed well and is nearing completion. To date, this project has delivered:

  • 26km of re-opened tracks
  • 19 restored trails
  • 6 new or improved trails
  • SA’s first adaptable mountain bike trail
  • a skills park and coaching area
  • new signage and wayfinding
  • business pop-up zones
  • improved car parking and traffic management

On target for completion by spring 2022 is the new Trail Hub with toilets, a bike wash, and kiosk. We are proud to continue to work with the fire-affected local community and our other stakeholders to explore new opportunities for infrastructure improvements, tourism and economic stimulus, and sport, health and wellbeing outcomes.

This much-improved precinct remains under the management of ForestrySA as part of our ongoing operations.

Together, we will continue to Build Back Better.
