Planning a forest event?

Events we host include festivals, rogaining and orienteering competitions, horse endurance races, mountain bike races, sled dog training, commercial filming and photography, trail running events, military training, scout jamborees, outdoor education courses, school camps, and so much more.

Please note that our event season is from 1 April – 30 November.

Planning an event in 2022? Get your application in now!

Please email your Event Application along with maps and Public Liability Certificate of Currency via the link below. All Event Applications must be submitted a minimum of 4 weeks prior to the event date and are approved on a case-by-case basis.

An Event Application Fee applies. Please ensure you have paid this fee (via the button below) prior to completing your application form.

COVID Management Plan for events over 1,000 people

Organisers of events involving more than 1,000 people must lodge a COVID Management Plan direct with SA Health.

SA Health approval is required before the event can take place.

Regional Event Fund grants available

Are you planning an event in our Mount Lofty Ranges or Limestone Coast forests during 2021-22?

You may be eligible for grant funding, as part of a new SA Government initiative to support regional events, visitation and spending.

The Regional Event Fund is offering grants from $5,000 – $50,000, to strengthen the state’s regional events calendar and drive economic stimulus beyond the traditionally peak summer tourism period.
