Upcoming forest operations

CURRENT AND UPCOMING FOREST OPERATIONS AND CLOSURES

ForestrySA’s Mount Lofty Ranges plantation estate is a hive of activity on any given day, with a range of seasonal operations conducted during the year.

For your safety, certain areas of our commercial pine forests may be temporarily closed or restricted for operations such as planting, harvesting, firebreak maintenance, and prescribed burning. These activities involve heavy machinery, falling trees, and loud noise, making forest operation sites dangerous. Visitor access is strictly prohibited during these times.

Please obey all site signage and instructions from staff.
